As the Daimler retired from business, Dodge engineers started to think about getting a bit lighter and more enthusiastic vehicle. Still it’s happened back in 2011 and car become even more heavier, not lighter as it was expected. It is realistic that this changes will be introduced in a period between 2017 to 2019. The new 2015 Dodge Charger will be redesigned next year.
2015 Dodge Charger will be redesigned next year
There will be some updates on new 2015 model, which are arranged in for areas. The first one is power, and it is expected to be a 6.2- liter supercharged Hemi that produce up to 660 hp. The second one is transmission and there is expected to be 8-speeds automatic in every version, not just for V6 engine like in current model. The next segment of modifications are electronics and equipment inside cabin, like parking aids, Via Mobile and others. The last one redesigned area is suspension tuning.
As Dodge will probably wait until 2017 to fully redesigned the Charger, both Maserati and Ferrari will benefit from that decision. The first mentioned because of expensive upgrades and use of lighter materials, and Ferrari because of engines. It is also rumored that 300c and 2015 Charger will rely on Ghibli, in platform mater. As we have seen on some shots, front wheel of the vehicle is similar to Ghibli and 300c, especially because it is more length through the door’s edge.
And when we look at the rear suspension which is from aluminum, it is also very similar with 300c. Fans that want to hear more about modifications on Charger, will have to wait until 2017 because it is a date when this vehicle will be totally upgraded. This 2017 model will be a concept that is inspired to a 1999 Charger concept, present 2015 Charger and Ghibli.
